Leaving PH tomorrow morning bound for Henley. Probably Cookham/Marlow way tomorrow night.
Not actually going to Rewind but will probably cruise up and down a little on someone else's boat if they invite me.

Will keep an eye open for forumites and hurl suitable abuse if provoked

From what I've been able to deduce it would appear that wifi headphones replace PA systems BUT - the crowd/fans or whatever you call them are anything but silent !!

Oh, also Hurley Regatta between the lock Island and Harleyford on Saturday.

Delayed at Romney by problem with head gates. Doubt they will see this but my thanks to a couple in a 72 foot NB called Vixen who welcomed us alongside while waiting.

Last time I went upstream it was Penton Hook bottom gates giving problems. They sorted it however, and everyone was in good spirits. The ice cream van did a roaring trade!

Problem ar Romney was said to be a "loose" wire and sorted within a couple of hours. Only problem was boats finally locked down travelling too fast in the cut past rafted boats. Asked one to slow down a bit and received a "dismissive" response!

Did see one having a damn good try to get up on the plane in rhe Cliveden stretch a year or two back!
Agreed not likely see them travelling too fast but even at 4 knots they can create a signicant standing bow wave.
