Precariously balanced on a foot wide keel with no water under me and wind blowing with 44mph gusts.

Damn the PLA and their annual draw-off!

Should I just go to the pub until the river returns? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Under the hull, Lay the mother in law on one side and the wife on the other until there's enough water, this will stop your love tipping either way.

I am attempting to get mine out at Tedd on Saturday afternoon, if I fail I could well be passing you at great speed with no power....

That should provide some entertainment for the rugby crowd at the Barmy and the Swan. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I will be interesting with a 7.5m tide and all the land water at 16.00.

Tee Hee , yep , a monster tide due , although we have slowly started to shut the weir in as of yesterday ....

I'll try and get some photos at the lock if i remember my camera ...

One of those that makes the river go up the weir?

Just keep the camera away from my recovery...you have not seen what I am attempting to get it out with, I don't think it could pull the skin of a rice pudding let alone get the boat up the slip

It should back flow on that height of tide , yes ...

Only reason it wouldn't is if the land water is backing up faster than the tide is coming in , which keeps the headwater higher than the tailwater ...

Well , saw Rich pulling the Fletcher out today , with a camper van !

Anyway , the tide peaked today at bang on 1600. It was a biggy , but i've seen bigger. As promised , here's a piccy ...
