After some thought and because I don't use it enough because my son who was once keen and my main crew member, has moved into Yorkshire and cant get over much due to his work and home life commitments, I am thinking of selling my 2005 Quicksilver 750 Weekender with 250 hp Mercruiser 4.2l with about 500 hours, its got all the electronic aids: 2 plotters 2 fishfinders, radar,AIS , bowthruster and trim tabs and pressurised water system and sleeps 5. Its out of the water at present on the hard in Liverpool boat yard as it has been out for antifoul and new anodes but got caught with the lockdown so not been splashed back in yet . I have no idea what price -what would the panel think would be a reasonable price? Got to say its been a joy to have and its been a big part of my life especially the fun of learning new skills, getting the various qualifications and the experiences of boat ownership, but most of all the fishing trips, jaunts around Liverpool bay and visits to lovely destinations in North Wales. I might change my mind tomorrow but wondered what the panel may say .Best wishes. Michael

If you get rid
In a few years time ( maybe sooner) I can see a Thread being posted
Titled
‘ I ,m looking for a boat’
It will go on to say
‘I had a lovely quicksilver blah blah blah’
The rest needs no completing
Except the end
‘I wish I’d never sold Her’

Possibly an over-reaction to our current situation? There is a lot of marine hardware sitting around doing very little at present.
Try Stress Free Motorboating by Duncan Wells for help with sailing short handed.

What you need to do is move it a few yards to North Wales. There you will find many compatriots eager and willing to drag you out weekend after weekend to wonderful places and denude you of booze in the quest for merriment and fun. Crew? We have Kwakkers. He will take more liberties with your boat than you thought possible and if you impress upon him the need for a preliminary shower he's quite affable. Selling your boat is just nuts. It's an emotional and social amputation.

Good advert! … Maybe there should be a 'Boats For Sale' forum for those who don't want to pay a broker 8% and separate from the YBW one at the top of the home page so people could debate merits of different boats and voice opinions and experiences etc.

Hey Bruce, sod off
Encouraging an English (could be a scouser too) geezer down our way
Place will be crowded enough!
Although Mike did make it to Conwy I dont think He made it to The Swellies
See Mike
That another reason not to sell
You nearly made it to one of the best bits of the UK!!!

He's English? I hadn't thought that far. Maybe we could trade him for Roy. Anything is better than the Stoke crowd and he'd fit in with the Scousers?

Kwackers your memory is failing we have met and you know I am a Bury lad, you gave me and my mate Bryn a full lesson on the Swellies and we did come in 2018 and you were gong to do an accompaniment through the sewllies but it was at the time of your mrs appointments ( hope she is ok).We made it through to viccy dock and came back over the swash/So there!!

Hey
Don’t sell up though
My first reply was the best
You WILL miss it!
?

He's met you? No wonder he didn't take the bait of moving to Conwy. I'd be miffed if it weren't for the fact that between you and Roy my berthing fees are probably one of the cheapest in the country.

At least on the Posh side you can get your boat lifted and serviced, on the poor side (Pwllheli) we are still fully closed no movement at all,

That’s new crap.....been cleaned twice since! I gave up ???

at least my mooring lines aren’t attached to the pontoon......you’ve probably never seen such things MQ?
I did notice your stern line port side had not been made safe , it will be around the leg soon.

I have special dispensation from our harbour master to work on my boat. Special in that he wont close the hard because he's too tight to refund us, special because although he says I'm more that welcome to visit the hard and work on my boat and use the parking bay I've bought a season ticket for the rozzers are going to fine me for being there. It's a catch22. I'm allowed to be there but not allowed to travel there. Teleportation machine anyone?
