Thinking of a career as an artist.

Proper cut-aways are educational, every training workshop must have examples. This isn't the same thing. I'm surprised these so called "artists" don't get more ridicule but they certainly get attention. No such thing as bad publicity!

Reminds me of a pile of used sanitary buckets from a hospital in Germany that an artist(German) had sold, given or leant to the contemporary art museum in Santiago in Galicia .The museum staff were loath to answer my inquiry about the heap of buckets …..had the artist comesfrom Germany to arrange them or just left it to the museum staff to chuckle them in a empty corner!

I went with wife to Tate Modern. She asked me what I thought of the exhibits. I said I really liked the chrome and rubber piece with Chubb written on it.
Got me a pass to not having to go with her again.

To succeed financially as an artist you have to develop a 'brand' - i.e. have an identity as a person of artistic interest, mystique or whatever. Self-promotion and networking is arguably as, perhaps more, important than the creative skill/insight put into the artworks themselves.

I could produce a bed similarly messy to whatshername's, but no one is going to pay me money for it! :ROFLMAO:

Tracy has made us all artists except for my SiL……who crisply makes herbed before breakfast

Sacre bleu! Merde!
I can see why you are offended, nay appalled or even mortified by this, especially so as it is a Ducati.
Desmondo would be telling you to go and sort out the blighter who committed this heinous crime.

I can see the appeal of the 'barrow though - sexy curves, there is a story there in it's struggle for survival (did the digger run over it accidentally, or maybe even deliberately?)
Definitely a worthy contender for the Turner prize. :)
