These are handy

Many places now have shore power, I hear it's fantastic. :p

And more places (including the sea generally), don't. Why on earth would I want a 5v socket that only works in certain places?

A nifty idea at home, I can imagine fitting one above the little sideboard where mobile phones etc get dumped, but completely inappropriate for the typical yacht when you could fit a 12v version instead (and I have, several of them). Presumably the 100-footer David was working on runs a generator most of the time?

Just fitted a number of these on a 125 footer, one could be useful at the chart table.

I look forward to the complaint - I am getting the "this accessory is not compatible with your device"

Hopefully it will never happen but I have charger accessories that work for months and then stop working.

I love the USB Charger tho, thanks for the tip. I just got a house so will look at getting the electrcian in to install some.

I'm saddened that people pointing out a device is not fit for sea get called ' miserable ' and others are so keen on a device which can only really be used in marinas; might as well say 230 v fan heaters are the answer to cheap dry air heating...

I'm sad that you're saddened.
