Hello, while mounting the TinyTach I worked between cables, pipes, ecc and at the end I now find some electric cable hanging down with its terminal not connected to anything.
I don't remember if they were previously connected to some point, but I now want to control if the alternator is working well, the thermostat, and so on.
How can I do it without calling a technician? The engine is an Yanmar 2GM20F.
Thank you.
Antonello

Suggest you take a few digital pics and post them so we can see where it comes from. Next time take digital pics before you start and you can then solve it yourself!

So, here is some photos not of the best quality, but it's difficult to take a shot cause of the limited access to engine

Scrape off the grey Yanmar paint to reveal the cable colour, and then check with the engine handbook. There are a few unused spade connectors, particularly if you only have the basic control panel fitted, that would otherwise be used for temperature and pressure gauges.
