Some years ago we were crossing from Ostend to Harwich when what appeared to be the Sunk came into view a lot sooner then we had expected. Turned out to be something similar to the OP

Not that I know of. The fact that it is the Patricia might suggest it is from further afield. Is that heading into Harwich Harbour?

Yes. ALERT took over the tow off Shotely Spit and towed the lightship up the Stour.

Looking at the AIS track of the Patricia, she has come down from the direction of the Humber (that's as far as the track goes)

She picked up her tow in Scarborough on May 8th.

I'm surprised the station is not visible on the Lightship.

The red object is light vessel No. 17 on tow from Middlesbrough to Harwich.

It was the East Goodwin light vessel before she was allegedly reshaped by a vessel who had used the anchor position as a way point; which it very accurately passed through including the bow of the light vessel!

Repairs completed and finely fettled.

I was going to ask when she was due and now have the answer saving the telephone call.
