There's a new inland boating channel

on the satellites, which is worth a quick look.

Currently showing details (part1) of the rally at Beale Park.

OK, OK mostly narrowboats but some nice shots of more "proper" boats.

The camera work is fine but the production gets a bit wearing as does the padding.

Shown on SKy channel (free to air or view) 203 on Tuesdays at 7pm with repeats at the same time on Thursdays and Saturdays,
OR Sky 166 at 20:00 - can't remember which days.

They're promo channels so may disappear in time when the funding runs out.

"Edition 6 of UK Boating premieres on Showcase 2, Sky channel 203 at 7pm on Tuesday, 7th September. The programme shows on this channel on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings, and on Sunday at 3.30pm until programme 7 starts it run on 21st.

The programme also shows at 8pm on Sky 166/Freesat 402 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and Sunday (subject to change at the broadcasters discretiion)."

I saw it last week and wanted to sink into the sofa - it seemed so amateurish - dare I say the program about narrowboats etc "Locks and Quays' is 'almost' better .....


They're going to have to do better to drag me away from UK Food

Spotted it last night on sky so called the SWMBO in for a peek.
I can happily put up with the "made in a shed by men with beards" production for a minority passtime.

I did try to warn folks about the preponderance of LTTTs, mainly wanted to show what was happening at the Beale Park rally. Part 2 on Tuedsay may be better - I hope so 'cos there were lots of other boats there. DOn't hold your breath as I think the producer has a NB.
Hopefully he'll learn that there all sorts of inland craft that he could cover, but they're less organised.....
