There\'s a big blow coming.

According to the Met Office Inshore Waters forecast there is a F9, possibly F10 storm coming up the Solent on Monday.

Call me a sissy, but I'm planning to take my boat out of the water tomorrow and wrapping it up nice and warm in a dry barn. Can then get it winterised, do some leg work, and polish it ready for next season.

Let's hope that the forecast is wrong.

Well onlineweather isn't the first site I'd place confidence in. It's generally not rated highly

Theyr.net is pretty good

Maybe onlineweather knew something others didn't. It's not a bad day here as they said.

Re: There\'s a big blow coming.

as usual , theyr.net had it pretty much accurately forecast.

It's often more accurate than many other online forecasts, most of them work from same NOAA, Bracknell, Meteo models.

None of them will ever be accurate. It's a prediction, not a guarantee.

When the news services finally accept doing probability based forecasting, things will be much easier for boaters.
