after extensive research, I have concluded that people can be categorised in 3 ways:
1) Those who deliberately step on your hosepipe as they pass by
2) Those who deliberately avoid it
3) those who are oblivious to its presence

2 outnumber 1 by 4:1 and rarely are 1) women. Mosty of 3 are either drunk or children.

Actually there are 10 types of people in the world - the 7 who aren't old enough to remember bloody octal and the 1 who is, and does.

Def only two types of people.

there's you and me .. we're alright
and then there all the other bu**ers

Ah grasshopper, from the learned replies so far, it is clear you still have much to learn.
There are three types of hosepipe for a start.
Those that have upward pointing pinholes that make you look like you've wee'd in your shorts when you step over it at the wrong moment.
Those that contain a kryptonite spring steel lining, and are impossible for a mortal to coil neatly.
And those that have a mysterious blockage, so you need at least half an hour to fill your tanks.

.. aha .. in Falmouth Marina there is only one type of hose, the flat hose, by order of SW Water just in case the sea decides to syphon itself uphill into the water supply.. and the sodden (sic) things leap off the taps at the slightest provocation!

I wish I knew who supplied the lubricant that prevents the hoses staying put...it would put the oil companies out of business...

Having been working in Norway for the past couple of months, I wish to add to your findings.
I have found that there are 3 ways to do something over here.
A right way, a wrong way and a Nor-way !!

og vår måte er alltid den rette måten .....
