Not me I am pleased to say, I received this and thought someone may be able to help. Please read on.

Would it be possible to ask if anyone could lookout for a 44 Bavaria Sail Boat in there marina called

"WILD GOOSE". From Victoria Ryde

A member of PSYC had a new grey tender stolen on Saturday night from Gin's Farm pontoon Beaulieu River.

This Boat was seen leaving at around 7:00 in the evening towing a grey Dingy from same pontoon.

Earlier that day The harbour master gave all on board Wild Goose a lift ashore as they had no tender.

Police have been informed but need eyes and information if has been seen anywhere in Solent.

Any information please to Derek 078091636 or me 07910279571.

I hope somebody knows where they are, I like most detest thieves.

Thieving barstewards, sounds like they weren't too bothered about being spotted either! Hope your mate gets his tender back pronto and the crew of Wild Goose get what they deserve.

We all tend to think boaters wont nick of fellow boaters don't we, obviously wrongly!

Reminds me, I must mark my tender with my boats name.

What happened to innocent until proven guilty?

Fair point, he may not have wanted to blow his tender up earlier so told the harbour master he hadn't got one.

Strange how he blew it up to tow it later though? Still, it may all be a big coincidence, personally I'd prefer to think some scroat had nicked it rather than a fellow boater. :(

I had my tender & o/b "borrowed" in Holyhead some years back by a visiting Irish Crew. They stayed later in the club than the launch operates (as did I) but they left before me so the could use my dinghy & motor. When they got back on board their boat they just cast the tender & motor adrift.

leaving me stranded ashore with wife & kids wondering why I was so late! Fortunately a pal helped me out & the CG suggested where I may find it given where & when it was cast adrift. They were quite right, but it was a bit of a palaver to recover in shallow water hard against a sloping concrete wall from the main boat. No1 son was dangled by his ankles over the bow with a boat hook while I ran us aground.

So yes, there are selfish twats in boats as in all other walks of life.

You dont have a GPS Tracker ?
Its a nice and little one hardware to find anythings with position control coordinates.
The tracker works with SMS and send the position to your mobile.
Then you can find your boat with Google Maps. :)

Where's Victoria Ryde? There's a Wild Goose shows up on AIS, no transmission since 26th June when she was off Brixham. MMSI number is there though so if it's the right one Police should be able to trace the owner from that.

I suspect "Victoria Ryde" is the name of a lady, the original poster, rather than a location.

And yes, I would urge caution until the full facts are known - what appears initially to be a "cut and dried" case can turn out to have a perfectly innocent explanation. Also, we are assuming that the information received is 100% correct without having validated it.

So probably best not to torpedo the Wild Goose on sight, just in case.

"WILD GOOSE". From Victoria Ryde would suggest it is a place, I may be wrong.

Is that a Brav 44 if so I'll pass on the information.

Tom

PS There cant be more than one Brav 44 called Wild Goose......can there.

I couldn't say, raggies all look the same to me , although the 'B 44' on the sail suggests that it is, and Steve Claytons further info confirms it, imho.
