What a dissolute, hedonistic, wayward, rakish, unrestraained, degenerate, profligate lot you are.

Fantastic tribute Bruce to what looking back was a great season.
It was our first [as a family with our boat] and the unofficial club is a brilliant way to cruise in company.
Thanks for making us feel welcome, the tips, banter and odd steak. We hope we add as much as we take.
We have a few additions to through into the mix. Once they are in order i will throw them on here.
(y)

OMG you add loads more than you take. How you manage to put up with the crusties is beyond me. And the festivity your lovely family brings to the weekends knocks years off the rest of us. Please add your own pics and stories. As it stood I had so many to choose from and even after whittling down too much.

waw, what a fantastic post ! love all of it, (don't understand all of it ;) )
thanks for sharing !

and thanks for showing this unknown part of the med to us, :)

Thanks. Yes we are rather proud of our Med. If Wales is God's country then our waters have to be his swimming pool right? ?

Thanks Bruce for the insight into the waterborne activities of the Welsh section of Alcoholics Anonymous ? Having visited the area a few times, it is indeed a lovely part of the world and you are very fortunate to be able to go boating there. The way things are going I reckon you Welsh Med boyos will be boating this year a lot sooner than us foreign Med boys

Keep the pics coming please. Very enjoyable!

@LBRodders said he'd add his view and pics. Hopefully some also on the rebuild of his Sunfury. It's a remarkable boat and still very relevant when you compare it against other modern contemporary offerings in the >30 foot sport cruiser class. I know what I'd prefer and cant understand why they are not still made. A Targa 30 anyone? With a brand new Mercruiser that gives him the power to weight ratio to make some impressive speeds even in less than ideal conditions its AFAIC better than most of the more recent contemporaries. Just shy of 40knts IIRC, in a family cruiser!

Nearly there - just awaiting authorisation from the Admiral...! :ROFLMAO:

Here we are, our addition to the thread.

As our first season, we have had a wonderful time and met some fantastic people who are always available for advice, banter and the odd spare!

I suppose the compilation of photos and videos is some evidence that a family can enjoy a 27ft boat in the UK. And not on the south coast. In addition, it was considered a poor season!
Yes its not easy all the time, but its an adventure and one that hopefully will shape family memories for some time.

Enjoy, dont get too wrapped up in the format, we didn't.

The crew of Jenny Lynn!

@LBR
Sunfury is a marvellous boat... really well designed (think storage for V berth infills and table storage in rear cabin). Great seakeeping hull.
The package puts many modern cruisers to shame.
Hope you have many happy years with her.
I did with my one.
