The Wash or Deben?

And no where at LW :D

After visiting Wells and watching some of the KTL films I would be quite happy sat on the sand there during a sunny afternoon!

But yes day sailing would probably be easier from a slip with full tidal access such as the one at Suffolk Yacht Harbour.

I will certainly have fun exploring some lovely places on the east coast!

Good to see you're keeping your sense of humour :)
Another one you might like to take a look at over the winter, is Orfordness. Road straight down to the quay and slip to one side, I've seen a few launch from the slip then recover later by driving down the slip onto the beach. The island looks like it gives some shelter in the wind, and not too far before you're in open water.

I took my Cape Cutter down there for a week in October. I launched at SYH and took in Walton Backwaters, Brightlingsea, Burnham and Ipswich. A great place to sail, and I shall definitely be back again next year.
