Pictures of the area (albeit somewhat dated, as they do not show the new club house) are at http://marinas.com/view/marina/6637_...United_Kingdom.

During the winter months much work has been done to improve the Haven's facilities and to provide more pontoon berths.

Access to the Yacht Haven, also commonly known as The Pond, is via the Walton Channel to the Spit North Cardinal Buoy (a channel splitter) and then up Foundry Reach, which is well buoyed.

Aware, for some, first time up Foundry Reach can be a bit daunting, pilotage from the Spit Buoy to the Yacht Haven will be arranged.

If you require any more information or advice please PM me or contact Bedwell's Boat Yard (01255 675873).

Storm is 3' 3" deep.

One slight criticism; overnight use of toilet facilities (this was on Friday as we were about to take Storm away). There is access at the back of the club to the disabled toilet/shower which you can use out of hours. Got up at about 7am to find it occupied by somebody using the shower, came back 20 mins later somebody else having shower. Great pity if the shower is being used no toilets available.

The people in the Colvic leaving just before us badly hit the post in the entrance to the pond - not sure whether wind or cross tide but I was then especially careful in coming out.
