The Ugliest new boat in the world??? And its from the USA!!

I wish I could sell the Ferretti. No bites so far but you can rest assured that I'll get down to the Carver shop as soon as I do /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

it is not the first Carver that goes to this design
the Santego in the past and in smaller sizes had a similar concept to this, the advantage was that the 630 at 30 feet had a saloon as spacious as a 35 feet and loads of comfort inside
not a bad seaboat eighter, and I helmed one in some chop and it surprised me really, especially in head seas they give some challenge
in the eraly 90s the 634 was the first that came and at first I liked her a lot for its futuristic concept, but then it grew off me really
but in the end its good that someone tryes a different concept really

Looks like they have taken the 1972 Design from Italcraft's "Espada DC" and given it the Carver treatment....

Inspiration definetly comes from the Command Bridge Layout from Italcraft, Coronet etc., which Failine also used in the 70's in the 32 Phantom.... All which gave large interior room for the size of boat...

I agree the new Carver doesn't look very nice, but it's a practical layout. Safe passage all around the boat, and direct access to the bow from the bridge.

Much like this Cruisers Yacht:

I prefer the looks of the Cruisers, plus the flat foredeck is far more useable.
