The time is getting nearer

My little boat is going in the water today --yippie ! ,a month later than I hoped (but I have been breaking jigsaw blades to charge to my customers).
You all may remember the excitement of your first launch --I am getting quite excited about it (not a feeling I get that often these days ), I just hope I remember all the procedures I have been reading about and no disasters befall me on this new "adventure".

Thanks Graham, but all I did today was a circuit of the harbour towing my boat and trailer only to be advised that the tide may not be high enough to "float my boat" off the trailer from my mooring and that leaving the trailer out on the deeper moorings was inadvisable as a danger to other boats.So So disappointed but if you ask advice from experienced sailor I figure you have to take it --so Wednesday is my next window.
As a bonus the afore mentioned chap took me out in his bot for the afternoon and I enjoyed every minute of it -chasing the little bit of wind available was good experience for me as he let me be "skipper" for the afternoon .

Well she's in the water now the mooring left a bit to be desired as I should have used 3 points and I could only find 2 ( sorted the following day after a bit of digging around in the sand/clay found the third one).
Well pleased I am in at last. Going to try for first trip (well sail around the bay and maybe venture to Porlock or Watchet as a first try out ) now getting excited , one of the club members coming out with me so I don't make a complete "pratt " of myself .The new red fenders look great ( I now have a boat in British colours red white and blue .
