The Thames today

Just thinking about that brown water, could be from boatones sand blasting drifting down...

Sorry to disappoint but no sand blasting and what dust there is from sanding back is white - well off white I s'pose !

After various hiccups work seems to be progressing well now and primer coats completed so now ready for undercoats and top coats. All being well expect to finish next week maybe.

Will probably keep it in the marina now to stop it getting bumped and scratched......

I've been away for a few days, but driving over Walton bridge today I was surprised how brown the water looked, especially as there has been so little rainfall. Anyone else notice this?

We were on our way down river for a trip to Chatham, what can I say, Ms DogsBody doesn't exactly like tidal trips if you get what I mean...

A bit tedious Mike.

Ah but they and the other boat in the photos that was in front of you are members of the fenders up cruising club and hence "experts" that we are supposed to look up to and doff our caps!
They all passed me at Henley and looked away in disgust before you saw them.
I find it all very sad.....

Mike, I think most reasonable people find your ongoing snipes about fenders up or down, rather tedious.
Certainly I do.
Your view only.

I find the rude behaviour of your fellow members rather tedious as well.

...Can you assure us that the member in question will pay for the damage he caused?

All clubs have good and bad members. Perhaps we shouldn't generalise too much about it for any particular club.

I can't help feeling that there is something terribly Freudian about apollo's obsession with The Fender Lifters............:)

They may not agree with me, but rudeness shows all of them in their true light.

maybe I should repeat that so they can turn their hearing aids up....

....and is the pompous pudding going to pay for the damage he has caused or not?

All of them?? Are you including the likes of miket and byron? Oh yes........and me! A little OTT in generalisation terms I would have thought. Or should I be standing up and saying

'Good evening everyone. My name is pheran and I am a Fender Lifter' :)

Not the Fender Lifters. We have learned to take our arcane pleasures and practices in a gentle unaggressive way. Most of us are shy, almost reclusive creatures :)

No, I am referring only to those members described in THIS THREAD, you know the ones that have done a hit and run.....

There were several members of said club out in last week with fenders dragging freely, so offered them the wave of a fellow boater that was returned in good spirit...

...I would not wish the disgust they will suffer on anyone.
