After 14 hours butting into a f5-6 to get to Dartmouth last year, I think my decision to give it a miss this year may be vindicated. Sorry JDB, stock up on stugeron!
Dont tell my wife about the one or two models that are predicting a good blow, I have only got her to come cause I said it would be so calm we would proabably have to motor both ways.
Bound to be a good sailing breeze cause I have more than enough fuel to go both ways
Sorry if it was confusing, I was obliquely trying to point out that Sunday was looking good. Though my intention was to return Monday, I might end up crossing back to Weymouth Sunday and have a run along the coast on Monday /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
Well, if I were going (and I wish I were), I'd certainly be making plans to have a nice crossing over and back. I'm no expert and the charts are a bit messy with lots of stuff happening but if the frontal system passes over the route then it might be a bit veery and backy for a few hours, but all looks OK to me. I'd bet on a fab F4 out and and maybe a bit less back (which will help the hangovers, apart from the smell of diesel when the engine's running in the lulls). Have a great time all. Next year, I'm up for it.
