H,mm wondered if it would all fit in the title bit.........
Just downloaded my 50 odd pages of instructions stuff and all ready to grace the Thames with our small but perfectly formed Medway cohort.
Consisting of me myself and a Fairline called Fair Lady.
Look forward to seeing all you upriver lot.We for some reason have been allocated a spot right at the back of the fleet :)
Staying at South dock on Friday night and will be joining up for the skippers (me ) and the navigators (Mrs OG) meeting at 13.00 precisely.
As you may be aware the weather forecast is looking like $%&£?! for Friday

Now where did I put that bit of paper that states I am legally able to use my marine radio on my registered with OFCOM boat. :)

I see you are D11...? Will wave from B10 :)

Will need to read all the paperwork a few times so that it sinks in. Also need somewhere to fly the requested flag... don't have a flagstaff other than for the ensign, and our rails are too large for standard clamps.

We are looking forward to it though.

See you there!!

Saw you on the PLA list....should be a very interesting :)
Presume you are keeping an eye on the "Man powered" lot ?
Just preying that no wind and no rain and 25C would be nice.

I am very unlikely to catch up with the man powered lot... I am more intrigued to see how the quicker private boats manage to stay behind them!

Sadly the weather forecast currently gives showers and 19C :(

See you at Imperial Wharf! I'll have RR_123 with me too.

Sadly not selected for the practice - a very nice lady, sharing (strangely) the exact same name as the maiden name of SWMBO(!), said "thanks, but no thanks!" So we will be at the Bray CC BBQ this weekend instead, which also very nice!. Hope you all have a great time though. Expect to see some goods pics on here in due course...

"I might nip up and play along in my boat with no name and no radio"

Err ....... you remember that torpedo boat that was knocking around last week :)

For anyone who has the PLA order at hand I now have fireship MINDEN at the bottom of my garden. And on part of next door's garden too. And on next door the other way. She has been lorried to Shepperton from Emsworth and needed an middle Thames home. The owner is a nice bloke and found out about the event through ybw.com .... he moors by someone I know and it seemed right to offer our services :)

He has also been introduced to The Swan and The Bells and may need a sleep in the morning...

Just fueled and watered, about to collect mutinous crew ........and that wind seems to have gone down just a tad.

Got 17 arriving at Tedders at 0900 on saturday , all have numbers and places in the barge lock , we will commence lowering the lock at 0945 for 1000 departure.

Yes, we hope to wave at him tomorrow, between Bray and Cookham.

He's at Reading tonight, that'll mean he's going to be 'on the plane' in the morning trying to escape...:o

The tide times are very inconvenient. Part of my crew today sussed that the trip back means missing the Italian GP. Thankfully he hasn't realised we are joining those 17 at Eel Pie... halfway through the rugby.
