The article in the MBM about the motorboat squadron finally exposes the complete farce regards whoever was responsible picking which boats were able to go on this national "celebration".

Apart from a few craft there for very worthy reasons carrying the sea scouts and sea cadets etc,the overwhelming majority of white glassfibre gin palaces selected were all Thames based (Don Shead database ) and with the with same old club names appearing again and again in the article, telling you all you need to know.
They ought to be ashamed, the saddest thing of course from this incestuous little episode is no one has yet put their head above the coaming and admitted resposibility. Ho Hum :)

Don Shead database? I dont think so...

Equally I would disagree with the majority of white gin palaces, I actually thought most needed a very good scrub and a few bob spent on them..

Although I did spot and old college friend of mine in the front of the mag, ironically standing on the back of a white gin palace...and I aint talking Barbra Windsor...
