Just come in from the project ,have put the steering gear in today,so boat has wheel !!!.
Next week the Morse top mount arrives with cables,however i,am a bit stuck as to what fitting to use on the transom as cable has to pass through it,A.S.A.P. supplies could,nt reccomend one on Friday.
Has anybody done this ??,and what fitting is best??.[smile}
cheers,T,b

If this is just for the cable to pass through, why not use a small skin fitting?. You can get them in white plastic or more traditional materials.

I presume that the Morse steering is similar to the twin cable Ride Guide that I used on my Race Boat, we used 2 hull water outlet fittings, (we used plastic) if you size then right they should be a tight fit, we then sealed them with a waterproof sealant.

Morse used to make a round swivel fitting that bolted to the transom that allowed the cable to pass through and swivel if needed, I have still seen them in use on some of the small ski boats with outboards.
