The Princess Experience

Welcome to Episode Twelve of The Princess Experience series with Princess Yachts. In this month's episode we feature a walkthrough of the V40 sports yacht, take a tour of our Loom Shop in Plymouth, learn more about the all-female sailing research team , eXXpedition, and meet our brand partner, EcoWorks Marine, the sustainable cleaning brand serving the marine industry.

I think these videos are too much.
We have all been to boat shows and seen the very latest on offer and, IMO, these videos are just an extension of that.

However, (again IMO) there is some really good footage on how the boats are built.
You just have to "dig it out".
So, I "set to" this afternoon with my trusty KDENLive editor and cut all the interesting stuff into a very much shorter version.
It reduces six and a half hours of video down to just 38 mins of really interesting engineering.
Unfortunately, the word "fantastic" is over used - my father always told me that fantastic means "full of fantasy" which IMO doesn't really relate to a boat.

Those of you who were getting a bit bored might find the reduced version easier to watch.
The Princess factory is a very interesting place - it just seemed to me that all the stuff that excites us on this forum was buried amongst lots of sales reviews.
This summary brings back memories but our boat was built 13 years ago and the technology in the factory has now become much more advanced.
One of the big advances is in "injection moulding" making the boats lighter or bigger for the same weight (as Princess put it).
I made it for my own use but I thought I would post it in case other people find it interesting.
Please comment if you like it.

This is really great, Hurricane. It nicely takes out all the chat about marketing activities of Princess and focuses on the actual build process. it is surprising to see that there are so many walkthroughs on youtube of Princess models but they all show the same. Nobody opens a panel and discusses in more detail what is behind it.
Thanks for making the effort to put this together.

At least, you didn't say that my edit was "fantastic"!!! :)
