The petrol one or the diesel,which should i choose.

I have finally made up my mind and decided to buy the diesel boat. my local marina sells diesel at 97p per litre and petrol for £1.32 and the staff there have also advised that although a more expensive purchase , the diesel is far more reliable and economical.
AS i said earlier i am new to boating and have been pleasantly suprised at the response and helpfull advice i have recieved from posting my question on this forum.
I am completing the deal for my boat this weekend and will look forward to joining in on some of the debates and will post my experiences and mistakes as i try to gain some boating skills .Thanks again for your help.

Especially if he runs aground, partially sinks, has the bog explode, gets lost, bumps into other boats and stuff like that
