Half term is getting closer, just three weeks to go. We're planning to spend the week on the Blackwater, we were once based at Tollesbury but the baby was very small so not much sailing in the area. These are the things we've got planned, what else would you suggest? Us two plus three children aged 12, 5 & 1

A couple of days in Tollesbury Marina, swimming 12 hours a day :D
A night in Heybridge Basin
A day at Osea island
A night at Bradwell to walk to St Peter's Cathedral

Any other ideas....

Go to Marconi SC.
They have a wonderful covered BBQ area, and a big play area in grass for kids. Easy landing on pontoon during the week, and free mooring.
Bar of course at the weekend.

That's why I joined!

As my mooring B26 will be free, you can christen it.:D

Children of 12,5 and 1  Shame there isn't a vacant berth next to us in Bradwell :D

Wishing you nice weather and much fun.:)

No problem, their sweet dulcet tones and my calm harmonious replies can often be heard across a whole marina :D

Thanks - It never rains on the Blackwater does it?

You can borrow my mooring, B7, (or if you're from WMYC it's £15 a night! :) ) but you'll need your own strops. I won't be in for a while as I'm still waiting for my Coppercoat to be re-applied.
