A whole three seconds in Plymouth today! Well according to one website, the Nautical Almanac only lists that sort of thing in three day sections. Still, I miss those short winter days and long summer days of Orkney and the West Highlands.

Quite. Solar gain is still less than average until ca. solstice, so we are still cooling. Or, for the mathematically-minded, integrated sine curve is a cosine curve (and vice versa...)!
