ok, the rib sold and the next "Charlie Brown" is bought.

No pictures yet but as soon as we have some..... Charlie Brown is now a Hunton XRS37. D6 350's on DPR drives. 2005 boat.

Currently ashore on the Hamble having some work done to get her up to standard (not been used for 12 months or so but in pretty good condition) i fired up the GPS last night and it has a max speed reading showing... anyone care to guess??

I have wanted a Hunton since i was a little kid and i finally have one! i cant actually believe it yet!! so far, Hunton have been outstanding and a pleasure to deal with and Hunton ownership is like being in a family!!

suffice to say... im happy, excited and nervous in equal measures!

Woohoo! Huge congratulations Zippy. Post pics as soon as you can

48kts?

Edit. Nah, make that 52.5 knots

Agreed!

Not saying the boat is capable it this speed all the time but given it's not a trailer boat. At some point in it's life it's been recorded on gps at 62.9 kts!

Lots of things I dont want to be thinking about at that speed so if we can get a comfortable 50 kts we will be well happy!!!

As said, some work to do on her but soon as we have some decent pics I will stick them up. It's been Valeted today and engine and drive service end of the week. Maybe maybe in the water next week and maybe maybe out over the bank holiday weekend!!!

Okay, maybe not.
If it were me, I would record the sound the engines made at 50kts and play them back on the iPod.

Over, and over, and over again :):):)

Seriously: congratulations, and a fab boat.
