Oh dear. I didn’t mean to upset you Piers. I'm just relaying what i read on the trawler forum, i think it was the quality of the joinery that was being referred to.:)

Hi Bouba. No offence taken whatsoever. Really. There's always a tussle on build quality between makes, and for one I would say nothing comes close to Fleming apart from maybe Nordhavn, but then I wouldn't say that on the forum or I'd probably receive a torrent of abuse!

Not sure about that either J. Not wanting to diss the OP in any way but a brief look at the Nordic Tugs website shows interior woodwork with mismatched grains and colours although I'm sure its very solid. Flemings are generally considered to be the top of the pile when it comes to build quality although of course you very much pay for that through elevated pricing
 
Thanks to everyone interested in Nordic tugs and usually "Trawler" type boats.

I can say I'm fortunate to own one NT 37 built in 2009, as NT boats imported into Europe with different models of about 20 pcs. In England, an importer was once an importer who sold sales all the EU when $ started to strengthen and prices go to a crazy level, to understand why marketing stopped here in the EU. New about same sitze NT boat cost about +700 000€ delivery and tax pay to EU areas.

Although NT is SD Hull it differs from many other SD and P Hull "Trawler" boats with fuel consuming and rage with one refueling and sea keaping. I can run 6.2kn / 2300nm or 7.4kn / 1650nm not bad for this size boat 12,57 x 3,94 x 1,32.

I see quality, no surface material and blig blig but everything that is hidden and you can rely trust on the boat when the sea is extreme rough, and I think 10 years warranty blisters or any bug on the hull is covered by warranty, i still have about one year and i dot have the smallest hair cracks anywhere gel goat, this is the quality i think. I agree that the newer models of solid teak replaced by another quality since the use of teak wood destroying rainforests.

Fleming is great trawler and i like very sea keapings. I am look every Tonys Ventures you tube video. I've only seen twice Fleming vessel live and I'm sure that very few of the boat is so beautiful and salty. I like the idea of ​​a possible over-ocean fleming, my tug it's not a good idea.

Nordic Tugs are indeed a rare sight on these waters. In fact, I think I've only ever come across one. If my memory serves me right, it was somewhere in the Turku Archipelago maybe a year or two ago. Yours perhaps?

I agree with others, more pictures would be fantastic.

We have looked at a couple of Nordic Tugs on the market in the UK and quite like them. Build quality appears to be fairly good and the layout, with a wheelhouse and saloon aft, appeals to us. The engineering fit out in particular looked very tidy.

The thing that has made us hold back is that we really want to do a inland as well as coastal so a flybridge on the trawlers that we like (Nordic Tug, Grand Banks) effectively rules them out due to air draught being too high.

Nordic do a version without flybridge though and we were very tempted....... :)

This was also important to me because I want to get to the EU channels. My tug bridge clearance is 3.45 and with a slight change I can get 3.30. The height is still too much for some channels but there are many channels and bridges to get under.

NBs - Fleming owners are always keen to know hull numbers. Play d'eau's is 129. Do Nordic Tug owners quote their hull numbers?

Hi, yes Nordic tug have very actives 5-7 owners assosisation in US, thecnical help, rendevouz meating, news, forums etc. my tug number is 205 and i think all models build about 900-1000 pcs.

People on the Trawler Forum say that when you see the quality of a Nordic Tug or an American Tug you will never look at a Far Eastern built boat again

This is exactly what happened to me. My old boat 40 feet EU brands fly bridge, I wanted "Trawler" looked at several brands in this sitze and almost ended up buying Elling E3 but, incidentally, I saw this on the WEB site of this Nordic Tug and wanted to see him in the live and here we are ...

I believe that NT and I have a long way to go in front of the cruise, at this moment if I change a boat, it would be difficult to find a better one. (my view, I accept if you see something different) ...

This is maby an old story for you, but I do not know if you've seen this. 34 swift Trawler cruised the US's most prestigious travel to Great Loop and did well and received their approval in general. Here are several 34-44 swift Trawler boats, which I think is a very successful concept

LOL, if you are fussy about that, you're bound to like my new boat, M.
Wood grain is matched even in internal hidden panels, like those under the beds/sofas.
I mean, not just the panels under the mattresses/cushions, but also those further down inside, meant to cover the bilge/floor and use the space to store blankets or whatever... :cool:

It was the the Great Loop trip that after a few years of hanging my nose over an ST34 made my mind up to purchase one.
 
Yes it was an NT 42 - Chartered out or Sarasota.

I enjoy watching your photos on the trip. Sun, warmth and exotic plants. I think it was a great experience cruising the US and seeing new places and of course NT, you are lucky :)

Here, now dark, cold and wet, fortunately you can dream of next season and spring ...
