Not Fife-like but a joy at sea I would guess.
My elderly Cruising Under Sail is on t'boat. Eric Hiscock referenced Dyarchy for pics and model characteristics and gear handling .. Quite high freeboard for the 30s eh?

Dyarchy's well-known for her various clever gadgets and gizmos, but (at least in that picture) she doesn't look especially beautiful to me. Not ugly by any means, but nothing special in terms of looks.

Bristol Pilot cutters were built to be functional not beautifull.Tell the owner 150 years ago he had a "beautifull boat" and he would probably have SMACKED you!!!

It's Beken's famous picture of the Fife schooner SUZANNE. What fascinates me is that, iirc, Fox says it was taken off Cowes - gybing that lot in a hurry would have taken exemplary skill and co-ordination.
I only wish today's super-rich had equally good taste in toys.

Somewhere I've got a recent pic of a boat like that racing in a Med classics event. The pile of halyards on deck is so big, the helmsman must have had difficulty seeing over it. I'll see if I can find the pic tomorrow.
