Had a great time. If you moor at YGs just walk across the road bridge and you are at the Mill Theatre. We visited for the matinee performance, we arrived about 12 had a drink in the bar then you go upstairs to the dining room for a help yourself hot buffet had the pie which was lovely, plenty of veg and tatties, they then serve you a choice of puddings then tea or coffee.
You are then ushered into the theatre. We saw An Unexpected Guest which was excellent.
So impressed we have rebooked to visit later in the month.

Had good and bad over the years!

The food is OK, not good nor bad, the actors and support staff are excellent, but the play quality varies!

Doris Day for example, was superb, with the director playing the lead role, but a later 'American comedy' was so tedious a guy in the front fell asleep, only to be awoken by one of the actors kicking his feet as he passed by :p The acting itself was first class though...

In all the years of us mooring at Sonning, this year was the first time we have ever been in there. We didn't go to watch a show, but just to look around. Have to say it looked like a great venue, with a nice bar area, so we are looking to go to an event there at some stage.
