Nice photos!

Apologies for the plug. I will be giving an illustrated talk later this year about the 2016 tin slug convoy to the Medway - courtesy of Kent & East Sussex IWA.

Wednesday, 11 October 2017 at Gravesend Sailing Club - but do check nearer the time!

Nice. It was near the green lift bridge where I collected the generator. There is a boatyard near there. Also had a pint in the pub there. Looks a nice area for boating.

Sounds good. (I'm magnetman by the way)

Are SPCC doing a Medway trip this spring?

RCC was pleased to welcome a collection of slugs to the club last year.
Their return to the Thames was delayed by some rather grim weather .
Contrary to rumour, the occupants of the vessels appeared to be quite normal with one head and two arms etc and were quite capable of buying a round at the bar.:)

A wonderful collection of photos, Fred. What a great river - I wasn't aware of anything above Maidstone - or even below. When the Thames is full of continuous moorers, it would be great to have a look.

Good to see two lurkers from Another Place. LTTTs get everywhere...

Spotted a rather nice small (well tiny) blue and white boat - but with fenders down in one of the pics. Who could that be......

Greetings, my apologies for the delay in replying. I can't quite get the hang of alerts on this forum.

Sorry, no SPCC trip this year to the Medway - the main events are a) 25 narrow boats from Limehouse - Margaretness - Teddington in May and b) the reopening of Carpenters Rd Lock in the Olympic Park in August.

There is some discussion about a convoy to Dartford Creek in 2018.
