Sorry to miss the do this year

Having just started a new job and having a lot of other things on I decided not to attend this year.
Found that I did have a bit of time this weekend so Tim and I have popped down to the boat.
Now sitting on the mooring with the wind howling in the rigging.
Just seen 35 knot gust.

Hope the do goes as well as last years and that the flooring of the venue survives the onslaught of the tank squadron.

Likewise here Clive, managed to get to the boat for a while but it's howling down there. Don't know what it's like on open water but we had an unusual visitor in the form of a fishing trawler from London, presumably fishing The Wash and got caught by the gale so headed for the nearest shelter. There's an old rickety wooden piled landing with a ladder to get up top at low tide, the other side of the river from the marina pontoons and he's tied off there until it clears. Checked a couple of mates boats as the tide was ripping through, pushing boats much further out than normal. Glad I'm not out in it

Good to hear from you matey. Must admit I did try and bring her in a little but in that current I had no chance. Almost every boat on the pontoon was the same, even my little baby. So in the end I decided to leave them to it. Been down again today and she's doing fine, but let me know if you want me to go aboard next time (probably Wednesday as we're off to Brighton on Tuesday) and I'll check the helm is hard over. Had mine tied off but it came loose in the weather
