I seem to remember one witty manager at Harrods, describing a colleague's flatulence as a 'green wind'. There was something really nauseating about the idea...

I hadn't heard the colour green was verboten for boats...why?

I'm not offended by your reaction, it was my own, too. I was glad it's not the original colour, and that it is flaking off, even though it'll be a pain to scrape it all off and replace it. Although, it'll be good not to be so vividly conspicuous!
