I just thought i would bore the pants off you all with with a account of my boating break over the holiday weekend.Arrived at the coast early Friday was going to sleep on boat but SWMBO couldn,t face the chemical loo so opted for campsite..very nice place showers etc ect.Put up tent faster than the tide can run to catch morning tide, then down to harbour into tender 6galls petrol and all. Then onto my faithfull old Shetland 535 with 50hp everude all set 12 galls petrol and off we go.Motored up channel at 8knots...opps masive wash anoyed raggie ,shaking of fists etc not intentional as she waved me past.Around lifeboat station and through water sking area opens here up...yipee 26knots on the gps whoops of joy from passengers, and out to sea at reduced speed 12 knots as 3ft swell, past wells safe water bouy for 1/2 mile ,got out fishing gear and had a fish nothing doing so crused around Houlkam bay ,followed seal which must have been from Blakney Point as it didn,t mind us at all,the b***** even caught a large Sea Bass and devoured it right in front off us as though he was saying...thats how you do it!!.Then back to the harbour and mooring and That fish and chip shop, shower at camp site ,then out for some brown necter siting on quay, repeat for 4 days great weather and cheap weekend..camping...£30...Petrol £35 plus bar bill...not going to tell you that one.So there you are who said that boating is always expensive admit not the most luxurious weekend but great fun and no worries!!.
