The "Ice cream" boat

We've seen one a couple of times in English Harbour, Gokova Korfezi near Bodrum.

I trust that what they sell as a "magnum" is more magnum-esque than the ones I bought from an ice cream boat off (iirc) Gemiler Adasi near Fethiye.

Seemed to be the full size model. Certainly large enough to make eating it before it melted quite a challenge.

Yes, two weeks ago in Osborne bay - a '99 cone with strawberry ice cream for me and the missus. Yummy!
But the best bit is the speaker with the music that plays as he approaches just like the vans that come round at home.

Ah yes. My father told us that the ice cream vans played that music when they had run out of ice cream as a sort of apology. The mean Lancashire bar steward!

We've seen one a couple of times in English Harbour, Gokova Korfezi near Bodrum. VERY welcome in the heat. Amazing how they seem to sense just when you have finished lunch and would kill for a nice cold Magnum.

We have a couple in York, one is a short barge with an ice cream van mounted atop. They serve from both sides, pedestrians on the towpath and boats alongside.
