Hi Chaps

Many months ago, I saw a thread with regard to overpriced Volvo Green engine paint, and cheaper alternatives. I think someone made reference to a Renault colour which matched Volvo's.

Can anyone remember / advise me of the colour / reference, as I could do with some.

Then I'll have to swallow my pride and actually go into a Renault dealer - ARRRGGHH!!!

Not sure if the one I remember was a Renault colour but was Lovatt (spelling?) Green as I recall. I had a similar interest.

I ended up trying to match out of enamel colour ranges but unless one buys lots of samples to see what they dry to one might as well buy the original stuff if one wants to be exact. I mixed 2 enamel colours, each a standard chart colour, but there is a colour difference which means touch ups are not invisible. In case it is of any help, the Volvo green seems to be low on blue in the mix.

I considered taking some part off the engine and getting it computer colour matched, but that might be as bad as buying the real stuff.

Thanks John

Not sure that I want to go to the extent of mixing etc, but just didn't want to pay silly prices.

Will look into this "Lovatt Green" though
