Just watched the new episode of Prime grand tour, nothing about cars this time, but 1.5 hours of motor boat mayhem, it makes you cringe how they treat their boats. It plays to how some raggies think motor boaters carryon lol.

The scarab outdrives stood up well!

i though the jets would do better.....might have been the driver ?

when I watch this stuff I always wonder what the support staff are in vehicle wise. Must be something mega surely........their boat was taking on water ?

There's already someone on Scuttlebut dripping about it encouraging bad behaviour by MoBos, rather reinfocing the stereotype of some raggies as humourless old grinches. ?

Watched it the other day - usual entertaining stuff from them. Accepting that the we’re playing to the camera I thought that Clarkson was over-egging the low speed handling with jets - in reality they make a boat very easy to handle in close quarters.

Agree but do put a friend in a Williams jet rib and ask him to steer a straight line at idle. It is quite amusing !

I bet!
I sometimes helm a Redbay 12m with twin jets and low speed tracking takes a bit of work but not too bad - I guess it is more difficult with a single. Close quarters handling is an absolute dream once you know how to handle it.

I always fancied a PBR but the low speed handling puts you off a bit!! I actually think the show was not as entertaining as the format is a bit tired but the last segment looked decidly uncomfortable and dangerous for May but he battled on...

I enjoyed it. Not imho as good as, say, rolling a Reliant Robin - but what is?

Some thoughtful vignettes of Cambodia and Vietnam in amongst the japes.

Even my wife enjoyed it.
I can’t help thinking they had a version of me , I can’t imagine that Hammond really changed the plugs and leads underway.

I can’t help thinking they had a version of me on standby as I can’t imagine Hammond changed the plugs and leads while underway.

They were a bit fat and old tho’.

I watched Rick Stein’s Secret France thing yesterday, and so was he.

All of your heroes; where are they now?
