My boat has a headroom of 6 meters so its the rhine the Danube out at the black sea and down to Turkey, One day , I cant wait, The french canals to my knowledge dont have the head room?

You will struggle with any air draught over 3.4 meters - not sure what that is in old money. your length and beam are fine

12'4'' = 3.76 mtrs (approx.) - Most canal routes = 3.5 mtrs max. Air Draft.
Is there no way you could reduce your height, eg by increasing your draft?
I know most bridges tend to be rather keen on their dimensions but I would hate to find somewhere in central France where you are unable to get under and have to turn around and come back!
