The forums new look

Ditto on horrible, difficult to read, pastel shades either. First thing I did was to look for some method of making it easier to read. Unfortunately, no user definable skin and only 2 pre-defined ones (vB4 Default and Mobile styles).

It should be fairly simple to setup a style that's close to the previous one. I normally did this as a matter of course when rolling out anything new. You always get gripes that old app. was better in various ways (not always true of course).

I also found later MSoft Office products quite hard to read but at least it was possible to get them back to something more readable.

The only problem I have found is that when I search for my previous posts, it says 'none found'. It was the way I used to check on whether someone had replied to anything I'd said...

Do I remember correctly, that before the last major change a couple of years ago, (maybe more), one could set it up that direct replies to a posting could be emailed to the poster? I'm sure that used to be the case.

Icons too big. Too much space taken up with visuals when text is what is important. Overall not so easy to read as old site.

Thanks everyone for your feedback.

We've had to upgrade to the more recent version of the same software we've been using for years. The upgrade has come down from the top to meet security and stability issues so I've had no say in it, I'm afraid. I can however, try and address some of the issues you've listed.

1) Text/font is hard to read
2) 'Open first unread' button needs to be clearer
3) Search for previous posts function not working (?)

I will discuss these issues with the developers and see what can be done.

In the meantime please post further feedback in the Website news and feedback forum.
