Real, fresh food - well cooked. Small but varied menu with good choice of seafood. Lovely spot overlooking Hamble River with Swans and large Grey Mullett swimming over balcony. Not sure how child friendly they are and with cost, not sure you would want to take children anyway.

Apparently it has recently changed hands but never went there before so cannot compare.

Open Wednesday to Sunday from 19:00.

Price was £70 for two including drinks and tip although you can take your own wine with a £3.50 corkage charge.

I was having a kind of stupid flight of fancy the other day. I was thinking that if Darwin was right, so that creatures that displayed certain characteristics survived where others did not, could it be that the North Sea is full of Cod that swim sideways when they feel the water pressure of the trawl?

Actually I don't even know how cod are caught, I just thought that what happens on top of the sea might also happen under it.
