They plan to keep the nautical feel but start with some much needed maintance... Such as a coat of paint and tidying up the floawerbeds..
Most important they will no longer close the bar in the afternoon. The kitchen will stay open all afternoon at weekends .. A good start .. And they will probably keep a very basic menu after two midweek , so we should be able to rely on a well needed bite after a hard sail up from Burnham against the tide.. (or a long rubbing down & painting session)..
Certainly could do with a bit of a spruce up in the bar - sanding and varnishing the tables and the like - but it'd be nice if they kept it much as it is because it's what I'd call a (reasonably) real pub rather than something that came out of the "designer pub" warehouse catalogue
Not closing in the afternoons is BAD news! It's gonna halve the amount of work we get done on a maintenance weekend
