I guess it can never be organised around one person, but FWIW, i'll be away on my summer cruise on 21st Aug, and attempting to kill myself by completing a long distance triathlon on 4th Sept.... so July date would suit me best!

Some won't get into Bradwell until 3 hours before HW so an evening tide after 2200 will impinge on drinking time

Of course there's always 8th May as a shake up event.

Oh dear - that's our wedding anniversary and I was ill last year - 2011 WA under threat

The committee have conferred. A certain committeeman has doubly conferred with senior management and .....

The following dates seem to be in the frame

8th May

HW Bradwell 0830ish and 2030 ish
Starters gun about noon, drift out with remaining ebb and back on the flow. BBQ at Marina Bar etc etc

24th July

HW Bradwell 1149 and tomorrow
Starters gun 1000, up river, back on the ebb and dive into Bradwell on a dropping tide (added points given for total humiliation in the creek)

Some other date convenient to the committee (who are no above pulling rank (or anything else)) and we'll just do something that fits.

I'm not sure I understand any of this but the Kioni Krew will nevertheless use all their sailing and racing skill and experience along with the fine race-tuned sailing machine which is indeed Kioni plus intimate knowledge of the local waters thus guaranteeing a place at the back of the fleet, just like in our GP14 days - and I have an ideal excuse not to scrub the bottom for the next half year.

At this point in the year either date would work for us.
