I couldn't post this before for technical reasons. Some people are never satisfied, this chap has sail, an engine and oars:

His outboard is in a type of inboard arrangement. We exchanged cheery waves but I was not able to stop and ask about his boat. I was busy swapping confused text messages with a friend who I was trying to meet at Lechlade bridge but who was trying to meet me at my mooring...

Yes, nice neat arrangement; the outboard transom is inboard of the boat transom and makes for nice easy starting and maintenance and doesn't spoil the lines of the boat.
Had one for many years and with the substantial built in buoyancy under the ample seating we could motor 10 to the pub and back quite safely.:)

Yup, don't tell the others, but my dark secret is crewing for my dad on his. And racing Enterprise dinghies... Shhh, I have a motorboater reputation to uphold!!

Dear rosssavage

I am in the market for a 'shortie' wetsuit ready for when I take the RYA level 2 course in a few weeks time. I understand you are a keen dinghy sailor and an expert on these matters. Is 'Gull' brand O.K. or is that just for those dreadful, long haired, windsurfing Australians?

Please help!

Confused of Wiltshire.
