The continuing destruction of Brightlingsea!

Well from the facebook group I joined, it seems there has been a reprieve on the railings (well that's my understanding so don't quote me on it) and there will be a survey done in the summer but there is alot of support for the railings not to go there, including a Colchester councillor, and atleast for the time being it seems they wont be going up.

If it ain't broken, don't fix it. That is one part of Brightlingsea's seafront that hasn't been ruined so lets hope they continue to leave it alone!!

And what an eyesore it looks! Totally unnecessary - the H&S brigade/Lawyers have a lot to answer for. You can go almost anywhere in France and there are far more 'dangerous' areas that are totally unfenced.

Finally dawned on me why I don't get too sloshed in Oostende . It's a long way down at low tide !

For those concerned, i've heard that the barriers have been officially cancelled due to the strong public opposition.

Good news and a good example of people power working.
