The Clyde was gorgeous today.....

So was Morecambe Bay, except that I spent the day all twisted up scraping off antifouling. I'm hoping that a good malt will cure my aching back.

Unfortunately not as I was car bound. Left Glasgow at 10:30, drove up past Loch Lomond to the Drovers, but they were lagging behind for lunch, so lunched at Arrocher, drove over to Colintraive, caught the ferry to Bute, and then caught a later ferry back to Wemyss Bay, then back to Glasgow.

I was down at the Clyde too and it was stunning - bizarrely though whlle is felt quite warm and spring like, the water in the marina was frozen across the top - made it more beautiful but also was a reminder how cold it actually was

So was Loch Melfort

We drove up Loch Lomond at about 11.30 - not a breath of wind disturbed the surface, and the air was so clear, it was breathtakingly beautiful.

The view from the top of new road to Tighnabruaich was astounding as you came into the village - Arran and Holy Isle were spectacular.

There. That's done it. I've run our of adjectives.

Re: So was Loch Melfort

Dont write so smug.
I've had to take a day off on friday to do some work. People still expect me to come out and play at the weekends.

Roll on April and the real fun starts.

Re: So was Loch Melfort

Good! You can come and do mine. I think that today was also fine in Morecambe Bay, from what I saw from under the boat. Who are these people who can remove antifouling from their boats in two days? They are probably twice my size and half my age. At my present rate of progress in scraping off the old stuff, I will not be finished until the Autumn. At least it will save me money on marina fees.
After two days, the Lagavulin taken to cure my aching back and stiff knees is getting a bit low.
