Jeez Trev, when you're not travelling to and from boatshows, when your not selling, driving, fixing boats what do you do for a passtime?

Not yet for me but Trevor is getting close with his Outer Reef boats. Next stop for him must be wind power /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Oi Mick ! , I heard a little birdie tell me that the trophy you have commisioned is fri88in HUGE ! Like you stole the crown jewels to have it made, mate, you need to save your pennies for that gas guzzler not squander it on them saily, flappy lot !
Actually, well done friend, nice to see people stuff some cash into the sport, I reckon that trophy might go missing before the off, after all, some swine nicked all my cushions ! ;-)

Welcome back from Miami (swine) - the tan will soon disappear on IoM this weather /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Yip, I had one hell of a job trying to commission a trophy for the event (we hope to run it every year) and being as fussy as I am about these things it was hard to find the right people.
I am totally frustrated with home companies (namely Newbridge Silver & Dublin Crystal) both who promise to "get back to you" but don't (I thought we were in a recession) /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
In the end a UK company were recommended to me and we have agreed pricing (ouch) and we are at the artwork stage.
I don't want to mention the name just yet as we will be issuing another press release to hand over the trophy to the club.
We have also gained interest from a tracking company who are hoping to provide live tracking during the race - i will be testing the system over the course so that they can test the signal and draw up the course for the graphics - hopefully this will work OK as it should benefit our clients on the day.
