Well, my family finally made it to the boat for the weekend!
Sat morning saw SWMBO complete with anti seasickness wrist bands, Son No 3 (aged 15), Son No 4 (aged 9) and dog together with I don't know how many bags of stuff trying to fit into a '70s style 27 footer! Cramped or what.
Sat's weather was a bit windier and much lumpier than I had planned / hoped but it was SEly so boat was not too tippy! Motored out from B'sea to near Cocum beacon and then pulled out genoa and turned off engine. Son No 4 turned a bit green but wasn't ill. 2 hours later we were in Bradwell, on B2 so nice and close for getting ashore. Picnic lunch on arrival. Walk on beach in afternoon plus a 20 minute snooze for the skipper [image]

well it is tiring with a crew when you are used to the peace and tranquility of singlehanding!
Supper in the Green Man and then back for shut eye. Well I slept even if the others said they didn't!
Once the rain had passed on Sunday (and I took the dog for a walk getting saturated in the process) we slipped and as the wind was SW to W just had the genoa for a run back. Much better, flat sea and No 4 son took helm [image]

He seemed to enjoy this much more and didn't feel ill at all.
SWMBO and No 3 son had other ideas to enjoy themselves [image]

and the dog just found it all too tiring [image]

Back on berth in B'sea SWMBO and No 3 said 'been there, done that" so don't think they are that keen to come again. No 4 son might just be tempted so we'll have to pick the weather and maybe someone to lay footie with at the other end and who knows I may end up with a regular crew!
PS Sorry I don't know how to resize the pictures so they can be seen on a normal screen!
