A subscription to YM, which came with a free big brolly- essential on Friday. Isn't James Jermain tall! It's nice to have some scale now for reading boat reviews.

Needing some new deck shoes I looked around all the obvious retailers. I dismissed the Sebago/Dubarry types, all around £60 - £80 a pair very quickly. Earlier this year I had bought a pair of Quayside boots, absolutely fantastic (and good value). So finding the Quaysides at around £35.00 I tried on a couple of pairs and whilst trying to decide on which style, stumbled on the Aladins Cave stand to find they were selling Quaysides for £29.95 a pair or 2 pairs for £55.00!!!! Now thats a bargin!!

I now have new deck shoes for two seasons!!!

Two seasons, you profligate madman!!! Mine are expected to have a nuclear halflife of about 5 years a pair..........

Yep, found the Quaysides for £29.99 and had a pair. Also bought a Semco teak cleaning and sealing kit on the advice of Robih on this forum. We used the stuff at the weekend, and it looks fabulous. The acid test will be when we go back to the boat in 2 weeks time! Bought some Vorsheeda (sp?) dampers from Jimmy Green for a good price too.
