I am sailing to the Beaulieu to pick-up family & friends in May. I'm planning to anchor overnight in the reach near Gull Island (it is neaps) and pick them up in the tender the following morning (low tide). Is there a convenient jetty with free parking nearby that would be a suitable meeting point? I could go all the way to Buckler's Hard and I am sure they would enjoy seeing the river but it is a long way and I guess overnight parking there for 2 nights will be pricey. Parking in the village itself might be possible but it is a long hike.

The Marina at butlers is not cheap but then if its not busy I like the bar of an evening day time it is normally heaving. If you ask nicely the marina may let you leave a car or 2 over night.

Then its walk ashore not dinghy run, you may well save the hour coming down the river.. Although bear in mind the bar and your draft, although if not too deep I think neaps you will be ok?
