The adverts on this forum are so pointless.

Had a great deal of fun with a beat up old C&C 24, a Brunette and a she tolerated the bucket. She did insist the next boat was a bit more up market.

The big hairy black poodle didn’t mind

I think in many ways we had more fun on the boat with the bucket even though we don’t miss the bucket

use the Brave bowser and install the free uBlock Origin. Its the only extension you'll need for add blocking avoiding dodgy scripts and trackers. No adds here or on youtube. I sometimes use Edge without and see the adds then
 
Presume you are using a PC w/ Winblows 10

uBlock Origin is the mother of Adblock (and its cousins).

Ghostery is good.

Cookie Autodelete helps you prevent nosy tracking

Because some sites use the same technology to present meaningful content and ads & stupid popup's, you may from time to time find sites not working very well.
In cases like this I launch Chrome in incognito mode and just close the browser after the session.

Vivaldi (Opera orphan) browser includes adblock, privacy measures, cookie management and then some. Currently my default browser.

Edge is... I don't know TBH. Never even tried it because Microsnot is pushing so hard it automatically puts me in contrarian mode.

My iPad as lots of problems with ybw ,
Ybw is slow , it jump parts as I'm typing , and at times it won't load properly.
It's been like this for well over a year since they charge the site .
My Samsung tablet been fine until about two months ago now it's having problems with ybw site.
My Nokia phone is the only thing I can use for ybw and I can feel it too going to have a problem soon .
It can't just be me that having these problems .
The ad makin everything go slow

iPad attracts ads like nothing else. Marketing efforts are targeted at users, regardless of platform, and they know very well that there is no effective adblocker for Safari, the Apple browser that you can't avoid. Installing other browsers help a little, but Apples desire to monetize on users will prevail at any time.

Apple DICTATES the standards and approval criteria for every app and are much more restrictive than Android.

Opera includes all those and a built in VPN.

Edge is Chrome.

Zero problems recently with iPad (on IOS 15) and YBW (and no adverts) - is your iPad very old?

google OS is just a massive no from me, will have to make do with apple until an alternative arrives. I have google and facebook blocked in the hosts file on my pc
 
Argh its so annoying. I ordered an Eve mattress the other day and now the forum is covered in adds from Eve. I already bought it don't they know?? Went to another site and they are there as well. The internet tracking advert model is rubbish. The point is we're paying for it. Costs are always passed onto the consumer. I feel it is my duty to use an add blocker, for the good of the companies that are wasting the money I've just given them.
