I've had enough I'm bringing my Crown back from Brundall to a Thames brokerage cant do worse than Brooms. They must all be asleep up there

A certain brokers rang ME today to ask what I was doing about selling the P32. They seem quite keen to get some more boats on their books.

Why not let Norfolk Yacht Agency have your boat over winter to sell. I am sure they would move her to Horning (depending on air draft)if you wanted her away from Brundall.

I did have a look at Finola at Brooms the other week- nice boat and the brokerage chap was very helpful (I've sent you a PM). They do have another Crown in now, which looks to be in very good condition, so there is some direct competition. NYA also have a Crown - not so good, although there have been some attempts to spruce it up. Boats have been selling very quickly from NYA recently, suspect the good weather has played a part. Good luck selling her on the Thames.

I dont think the name Finola helps alot. It sounds like it should be on a Margarine Tub..../forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

you calling my wife a tub of magarine, want a fight?

Better than Zonnebloem (previous name) which means strangely a dutch sun flower, now sun flower thats a margarine ain't it?

Better than mucky farter too

UuuPpp's. Sorry did not know it was your dearly beloveds name.

I think Mucky Farter has a lovely sounding ring to her name, quite poetic and just trips off the tongue.

So do I need to get the charts out for the return journey from the one we did in Feb then Clive? Or are you wimping out and haveing it trucked backl? Much more fun to drive it back.

<hr width=100% size=1>

Hi Colin fraid I'm trucking her back . As you know I'm the first one to deter people from trunking boats and encouraging their use, ask Nick & Joanne, However there are several reasons why I have to truck

She has to go up to non tidal Thames so would have to arrange temp licence and all that.

The cost of me flying home getting to Brundall, plus the costs of the trip (fuel berthing etc) would just add to the costs to date resultant from taking her to Brundall. As you know that was Feb seven months and £2400.00 spent with Brooms later and still not sold.

The broker has managed to get her on a return trip on Tuesday next (their delivering another boat to Brooms that day) so the transport cost is halved, obviously lift out and back to add.

So as much as I would love to have the pleasure of you company along with Jim I cant. Nevr mind come out to Spain next year and I'll take you on me new boat. Clive
